Is the valve itself bad or is it the EVP sensor the problem? The EVP
sensor is a potentiometer attached to the EGR valve that tells the
computer what position the EGR valve is in.Both can fail.Have you read
the codes from the EEC to verify this is really the problem? Is the new
EGR equipped with a new EVP sensor,or would that be "in addition to" the
quoted price? Just wonderin.

Not to do or maybe it does specifically with this post but can one of the
EEC gurus out there give some directions on basic troubleshooting of the
different EEC systems?.. Thanks

I can't remeber who it was that was looking for info to swap a 302 w/ a
351W. I've got the excerpt from Four Wheeler Mag (Jan '98 issue).
I ripped it out and I've got it in my Bronco binder. It's about four pages
(including the advertisements) It's on a beige background so I don't think
it will scan or fax very well. I can try to answer questions though....

Guys,I'm no expert on the EEC by any stretch of the word, but before
disconnecting the battery to fool the EEC and erase the memory, you might
wanna take a couple minutes and retrieve the codes left in the memory
first. You may be glad you did later. After re-connecting everything and
given thew EEC a chance to establish new operating perameters, read the....
