Seems to me that that body style will be available right away. Joe ************************************ Joe Maleski Technical Instructor Auspex Systems, Inc. Need comments. Is this typical or should I expect a problem ? I guess the intent is to bring the GCWR up to near 20,000 lbs with a V10. On the 97 vans with 4.10 and V10, the gcwr is 18,500 lbs. With 4.30 gearing on a v10, I bet we get back to 460/4.10 gas mileage :-). Ouch. If anybody cares: the gcwr on the 3.73 v10 is 15,000 lbs. (97 vans) The good news is that the 97 Power Stroke with 4:10 is rated to 20,000lbs GCWR. 3.73 on a PS probably equates to a GCWR of 18,000 lbs or so. I take it that the GVWR is still at 8,800 lbs for the f250 and 9,000-10,000 lbs for the F350? I looks forward to future posts from you Josh.... This is fun... - -john >-I am not sure yet if the body styles will be staged through out the >year. The Ford auto dealers appear to screw this up, which doesn't help matters. But... 1997 = Current design HD truck (F250, F350, Super Duty), + redesigned Light Duty F250 and F350. 1997 HD trucks are orderable (with limitations) for a vey short time. few weeks at best. 1998 = Light Duty F150 and F250, no HD trucks tagged as 1998. Orderable now. You can even find the prices in kbb.com 1999 = Redesigned HD F250, F350, super duty. The common belief was that they were orderable in jan 1998, for deliveries set in mar/apr 1998 time frame. Today, there have been indication that orders can start in November; with deliveries still in the mar/apr 1998 time frame. Additionally, good information was expected to start appearing in the October/November time frame. Looks like this is occuring. Hope this helps. -john >Kent Premo wrote: > >> Josh, >> >> I'm sure you will be a very popular fellow.
