I am rebuilding a 1941 Ford Pick Up (1/2 ton). The engine is a 59AB

which was ( i am told) is a replacement engine sometime in the
fifties. The truck dose not have rear shocks.
How can I tell if the rear end was chanced also? I would also like
to add shocks they do not have to be stock. This is not a total
restoration. Is there someone who sells a shock kit that would work?

Thanks
